LG Sciences Epiandro was first brought to market as a a prohormone in 2006. At that time people were skeptical but once people started trying this amazing prohormone to DHT, the market for it took off! DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is often considered the “bad” hormone for men, but in fact science is starting to realize that perhaps we have gotten DHT all wrong! Epiandrosterone is a naturally occurring steroid synthesized in the adrenal cortex, gonads, brain, and gastrointestinal tract. It is less active than androsterone and excreted in small amounts in normal human urine. Epiandrosterone is a metabolite of the most abundant adrenal androgenic steroid dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) in young adult humans, and is a precursor of dihydro-testosterone which has hypolipidemic and anabolic properties.
Epiandrosterone also commonly known as “Epi-Andro” was first brought to market by LG Sciences as a a prohormone in 2006. At that time people were skeptical but once people started trying this amazing prohormone to DHT, the market for it took off! DHT is often considered the “bad” hormone for men, but in fact science is starting to realize that perhaps we have gotten DHT all wrong!
DHT is responsible for many bodily functions like erection quality, mental alertness and also keeping the estrogen/androgen ratio intact. Thus, while hair loss is possible with a prohormone like Epiandrosterone, many men want to use a compound like this to offset the estrogens in the diet. While DHT may be responsible for hair loss, recent studies suggest that estrogen may be just as big a cause for hair loss in men, which is why we don’t get many reports of hair loss being an issue with this prohormone. DHT increases strength which allows the user to lift heavier and harder, increases muscle hardness, and improves libido.
DHT suppresses SHBG which results in less circulating estrogen and a serious increase in free testosterone levels. Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG) is a protein that is produced by the liver and binds to testosterone, DHT, and estradiol (an estrogen) and in this bound state, transports these hormones in the blood as a biologically inactive form. Epiandrosterone is an anabolic compound which converts into the natural male hormone “Dihydrotestosterone” or “Stanolone”. Epi-Andro is non-methylated and as a result will put little to no stress on the user’s liver. As a dry compound, users will experience lean muscle gains. We believe that DHT is so useful that study confirmed that men with belly fat deactivated this healthy hormone which may lead to the negative effects of obesity on men’s health. EpiAndro 50™ also contains (-)-Epicatechin 90%, which works in your body on myostatin. Myostatin essentially acts as a muscle growth regulator, and essentially prevents muscles from growing too big too fast. Conversely, another substance known as follistatin acts as a myostatin regulator, preventing myostatin levels rising too high, thus allowing controlled rates of muscle growth to occur. Two recent pilot studies used middle-aged participants (roughly 40 years old) of average weight, and gave them 1mg of epicatechin per kg of body weight twice per day. In just one week, their follistatin increased by 49.2%, while their myostatin levels decreased by 16.6%! Of course, this was a very limited pilot trial, with a small amount of participants and one week, but it’s extremely promising to say the least.
Inhibiting myostatin levels has long been the holy grail of muscle-building and muscle-building supplements. To put it mildly, many are excited about new evidence from these recent epicatechin-based trials that were done on humans.
We theorize, EpiAndro 50™ will be great for adding in a dry prohormone to a cycle or used alone to offset the environmental estrogens in your diet. When combined with proper diet and exercise the mental and physical benefits to this prohormone may give you an amazing edge in the gym to reach your fitness goals for strength and mass. Like any prohormone we suggest that you be over 21 and of course have a good diet and exercise program and be in good general health as checked by a doctor.
