Kelsey Proper – First Training Blog 7/21/14

Okay so here it goes, haven’t really done this before so it should be interesting!

I guess I can start with a little background information. I met Todd Lee about a year ago. I’ve always been a very active person, but was never really into lifting or working out on a consistent basis. Todd had given me his business card and it sat in my wallet for a few months. I was never extremely unhappy with my body, but I always had wanted to improve it and diet alone wasn’t doing it. So one day, I finally pulled his card out of my wallet, and shot him a text. We chatted back and forth, and within a few days I had my first workout with him (and I puked on the first day, but I rallied and finished the workout :] ). I was addicted, and Todd filled my head with thoughts of competition. I’ve always been a person that needs a goal to work towards, so this was perfect. We went strong for a few months with diet and lifting, then I started working here with Mind and Muscle, and had a hard time getting adjusted and kind of fell out of the gym life for a while. After realizing how much I missed it and about 15 pounds later, I knew it was time to get back into it because I really would like to compete before the end of the year. So with all that said, I’ve been back in the gym HARD for about the last 6 weeks and for the last about 3 weeks have been doing Todd’s personal workouts that are planned for him by HIS trainer. Talk about an ass whooping! I consider myself a pretty hard worker, so even though it sucks most days, it’s always worth it (I can hang). So here it goes! Not sure if anyone is really reading this, but why not!

Here is a picture from last week, haven’t taken any progress pics for this week yet. There will be more to come though.

So, I suck at remembering to weigh myself every morning because I’m literally usually running out of the door for work because I can never wake up! Last week I was 143, not sure what I am now. ( I will get better about this, I’m not ashamed of weight, its just a number and most of mine is muscle.)

As far as diet goes, I eat 6 times a day, all natural protein proteins with no shakes. I get my fats from MCT oil, and my proteins consist of Eggs, Turkey, Ground Beef, Cod, Chicken, and Steak.
