Ergogenic Aids: Humanovar(TM)
This is an extract of chicken eggs that supposedly has steroid stimulant properties and growth factors that help the human body increase muscle mass. This one has been around for a while but has been shown anecdotally to not really do much of anything, nor can I find any studies providing support for this nutrient. There are some rumors of a new version that is extracted for myostatin reducing properties, but that is all theory for right now. It is still around in a few supplements though on the shelves and should probably be avoided. Growth factors are usually very large molecules that get rapisly broken down in the stomach, which would make oral ingestion of this product nearly worthless. Perhaps some day the power of these growth factors can be harnessed, but until a suitable delivery mechanism is developed, this is pretty much a useless supplement.
