D Aspartic Acid Review

A D aspartic acid review is in order! Many conflicting studies exist on if D-Aspartic Acid (DAA) can raise testosterone and here is why: although everyone uses the term D-Aspartic Acid scientists are using Na-D-Aspartate in their experiments, Not DAA! All studies using Na- D-Aspartate result in increased Luteinizing Hormone (LH) production and increased testosterone (T) production and the studies using D Aspartic Acid show no increase in either!

For example this study used Na-D Aspartate but refers to it as D Aspartic Acid in the actual TITLE: “ The role and molecular mechanism of D-aspartic acid in the release and synthesis of LH and testosterone in humans and rats” Over sight like this has the ENTIRE INDUSTRY confused.

This study dosed 3.12 grams of sodium-d-aspartate to adult males (27 to 37 yrs old) for 12 days resulting in a 42% increase in average testosterone levels (1). This was administered on an empty stomach before breakfast. These may not seem like huge increases in testosterone but these are controlled, scientific results in normal healthy men.

D Aspartic Acid

In the Figures below It is demonstrated that In rats, Na-D-ASpartate causes a 33% increase in LH and a 50% increase in testosterone

The way it does this is it causes increased activity of the cGMP second messenger system in the brain helping LH release, and the Na-D-Aspartate causes the cAMP second messenger system in the testes to increase the transport of cholesterol into the leydig cells. Cholesterol is what testosterone and all steroid hormones are made from so Increasing this transportation is the most important way to increase testes function. The Leydig cells are the cells whoch make testosterone.

Vitamin D is what transports the cholesterol into the cell as well so I added Vitamin D to Na-D-Aspartate when I designed Rise and Swell. This makes Rise and Swell the best natural test booster or way to increase testosterone on the market! Evidence exists in the literature that shows D-aspartic acid to be more effective at increasing LH levels in animals that have been castrated suggesting that D-aspartic acid may be even more effective in hypogonadal males or those whose natural production may be suppressed following a steroid cycle. For this reason I invented Rise and Swell to protect guy’s testesicles while the men are on cycle!
