Alex Scicluna’s Blog 12/1/14
Hey guys, this is my first blog, so bare with it!
A little bit about me, 25 years old. 6’0. 232 lbs. Going to school at Eastern Michigan University for Sports Performance and Business. Haven’t competed on stage yet, but plan on competing as a heavyweight next year. Currently working through a torn meniscus so excuse the lack luster lower body numbers.
I don’t really 1rm that often, or ever actually, but I can give working set PRs.
Bench: 6×275 on third set, after a 4 set pre fatigue, lol. Wonder what my 1rm really is…
Squat: 3x10x225…current PR with my injury. Nothing special, terrible in fact, but I’ve never been lower body strong.
Deadlift: 1×475 This was before I added 40lbs on to my frame. Don’t do deads much anymore, but damn do i love to pull.
Military Press: Roughly 10×190
The pic below was taken about two weeks ago as I started taking T2. I was a little on the tubbier side weighing around 230lbs. Currently much leaner at 232 lbs. This is the baseline picture with T2 and I’ll be posting another updated picture in about a week.
Today I did shoulders, and damn was it a doozie. Hit my preworkout concoction 30 mins before the lift. It was a combination of Wyked 2.1, BCAA’s, Leucine and Creatine. I got a serious shoulder pump from hell today, and anyone that has gotten a shoulder pump before knows that it’s a special kind of pain. Everyone has seen Pumping Iron right? If you haven’t I’ll drop a little quote for you.
“The greatest feeling you can get in a gym, or the most satisfying feeling you can get in the gym is… The Pump. Let’s say you train your biceps. Blood is rushing into your muscles and that’s what we call The Pump. You muscles get a really tight feeling, like your skin is going to explode any minute, and it’s really tight – it’s like somebody blowing air into it, into your muscle. It just blows up, and it feels really different. It feels fantastic.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger Pumping Iron
I don’t speak about products I don’t firmly believe in. But let me tell you, if you’re not taking Wyked 2.1 you’re missing out on the best pump of your life. This preworkout goes above and beyond just being a large dose of caffeine to make you go ape sh!t bananas in the gym. It’s the most functional preworkout I’ve ever used. It’s consistently easier to achieve a pump and keep it, and on those very special days where your pump makes you look three or four times bigger than you really should. Fairly certain I made my waist look half as big due to my shoulders looking so wide. On arm days its not unusual to not be able to move my arms because there’s so much blood in them to the point where I can literally feel my fascia stretching. (Which is damn important for those in a fst-7 training program)
That’s enough for today’s introduction! I’ve got homework and food to eat! I’ll be back for an update in a couple days!
